"The matter was reported to us last Wednesday and we have been monitoring the situation and working closely with the landowner ever since. Although responsibility for the encampment rests with the landowner, we can direct the group to leave once certain conditions are met. This includes that the encampment is causing damage, distress and/or disruption.
"The site is now being cleared. We appreciate that this has caused concern within the local community and we would like to thank everyone for their patience while we worked with the landowners to resolve the situation, and to those of you who called and provided us with information."
